I finally posted my latest short story and poem (both for 2023). A Life in the Day is a dreamlike fantasy short story about a young man’s day at an amusement park where he learns not just how to live but how to really experience life. It is something that I aspire to every day when I remember. The Cave is a rhymed poem where I wanted to use the words ‘stalactite’ and stalagmite’. It came out better than I thought it would. I could have gone on for several more lines, but in the end I decided it was best to end it where I did.
I am still fleshing out the third book of my Lady Anna’s Secret Garden series. I believe it will be called the Frog Prince. There are some chapters that won’t write themselves, so I will have to exert more effort to get them down. Despite this I am enjoying writing this book. It is the next big adventure for Ken and Will from the Land Beyond the Stone. It is filled with new characters. But there will be some old familiar characters as well.
